Below, check out more information about these and other releases for the week of October 27th to November 2nd on Netflix!
1. The agent (10/27)

Tea (Clara Dessau) is a cadet in the Danish police, and is assigned to a mission of high-risk infiltration: getting close to Ashley (Maria Cordsen), the wife of ruthless drug boss Miran (Afshin Firouzi). To do this, she inserts herself into Ashley’s inner circle, aiming to collect crucial information about the criminal organization.
As they grow closer, Tea witnesses the harsh realities of life under Miran’s rule. Internal conflicts arise when she begins to question her mission and the police’s methods, especially as she realizes the complex dynamics of power and manipulation within the gang. The series explores themes of loyalty, morality and the limits between duty and empathy, as the protagonist finds herself torn between fulfilling her mission and protecting the woman she has sworn to watch over.
2. The owners of the game (29/10)

In Rio de Janeiro, the ambitious Prophet (André Lamoglia) is determined to gain power within the dangerous universe of Jogo do Bicho. His arrival sparks disputes between the Moraes, Guerra, Fernandez and Saad clans, families that have controlled the gambling underworld for decades. Amid fragile alliances and constant betrayals, he must choose between loyalty and survival.
The possible legalization of gambling, the movement of a foreign criminal organization and the rapid rise of a new candidate for command of crime in Rio de Janeiro further intensify the conflicts that drive the series.
3. The Witcher – 4th season (10/30)

After the events that shook the Continent, Geralt of Rivia (Liam Hemsworth) faces a path of self-confrontation and incessant battles alone, while the powerful Yennefer of Vengerberg (Anya Chalotra) takes command of a council of wizards, and the young Ciri (Freya Allan) ventures into unknown territories, trying to escape forces that wish to capture her. Separated by widespread conflict, each is forced to trust unexpected allies, confront old wounds, and survive enemies that multiply amidst the chaos.
While Geralt forms a team Unlikely to protect Ciri and reestablish their bond, Yennefer undergoes a transformation from apprentice to visionary leader, questioning traditions and old magical conventions. Ciri, in turn, seeks to understand her role in an unforgiving world, as an ancient threat reorganizes with the intention of dominating the continent.
4. The White House Effect (10/31)

The documentary reveals how a political dispute during the George HW Bush administration changed the course of environmental history. Using exclusively archival material, the film shows how scientists warned about global warming and how a political battle in the White House prevented decisive action to combat the climate crisis. This narrative highlights the interests corporate and the political pressures that shaped the US response to the environmental emergency.
Directed by Pedro Kos, Bonni Cohen and Jon Shenk, the documentary presents a critical analysis of how political power and economic interests influenced inaction in the face of a growing global problem. By focusing on specific events and political decisions, the production offers a unique perspective on the factors that contributed to the worsening of the climate crisis in the following decades.
