Disney is developing a live action spin-off of Beauty and the Beast which will have as its protagonist Gaston. The details of the film’s plot, still in its infancy, have not yet been disclosed. Gaston, the new film based on Beauty and the Beast arrives: a great success story

Adapted from a French fairy tale, the original Beauty and the Beast it was a real success when it was released in theaters in 1991, becoming the Disney animated film with the highest grossing of the time. The story centers on Belle, a young woman who agrees to live with an arrogant prince, transformed into a monster, who has little time to win true love and break his spell. The film then won two Oscars out of six nominations and, to date, holds the distinction of being the first animated film to be nominated for best film. On that occasion it was Richard White who dubbed Gaston.
