Warner will launch new contemporary film label

According to exclusive information from Deadline, a Warner Bros. Discovery will launch a new contemporary film label with former executives from Neon heading the project.

Christian Parkes, Jason Wald e Spencer Collantes will lead the project that is starting in Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group. Fontes will comment that Parkes will lead the brand, with the new brand focusing exclusively on global cinematic releases with smart budgets and innovative marketing campaigns.

Pam is absyy e Michael DeLuca are also in the project, with both having a history of supporting promising filmmakers and this label offers an opportunity to discover new cinematic voices.

Furthermore, the initiative seeks to meet the demand of the exhibition market for a more diversified offer of films, which goes beyond big box office hits. Wald will be Director of Acquisitions and Production, with Collantes as Vice President of Marketing and Creative.

Wald most recently served as Executive Vice President of Acquisitions and Production at Neon, and Collantes was the same company’s Vice President of Creative Marketing.

The seal must be officially named during the Sundance Festivalwhich begins on January 22, 2026.
