Multiple James Bond Films Head To Netflix

MGM, EON, Sony Pictures

Netflix subscribers in the U.S., German-speaking countries, France, Latin America and several other territories will soon get a 007 fix.

In an unexpected announcement, the streaming giant is getting the last four of the three Daniel Craig and one Pierce Brosnan-led James Bond films added to its library in those aforementioned countries.

As Netflix’s main rival Amazon MGM owns the James Bond library, the news has certainly raised eyebrows. Starting January 15th, the films “Die Another Day,” “Quantum of Solace,” “Skyfall,” and “No Time to Die” will stream on Netflix for a three-month period.

Other Amazon MGM titles like “Rocky,” “Creed,” and the “Legally Blonde” films will also join Netflix at the time, as will Amazon original series “The Man in the High Castle”.

The deal is seen as a way for Amazon to broaden the global reach of the films, stir talk about the brand again.

Denis Villeneuve will helm the next Bond film, which likely won’t be out until 2028.
