“The New York Times” published its annual selection of the best films of 2025 and decided to expand the list to 25 productions. The measure was adopted due to the high number of releases evaluated by the newspaper’s team throughout the year.

The Brazilian “The Secret Agent”, directed by Kleber Mendonça Filho, appears among the chosen titles. The list brings together works from different countries and was organized in alphabetical order, as reported by the publication.
