Where to stream the best films of 2025

2025 has almost come to an end, and to summarize the last twelve cinematic months we thought we’d provide you with a quick guide to catch up on the best films of the year in streaming.

Unfortunately, some are not yet available online, because they have recently been released in cinemas or have not yet been released in Italy – such as A simple accident, Avatar: Fire and Ashes by James CameronMarty Supreme, Left-Handed Girl e No other choice – but fortunately others have already been released on the main streaming platforms, either by subscription or with a VOID purchase/rental option.

This is the case of One Battle After Another by Paul Thomas Anderson, for many the film of the year, available for rental and/or purchase on the main platforms; same thing for Sinners by Ryan Coogler and Weapons by Zach Creggerthe latter two also already available on physical home video on DVD, Bluray or 4K, for collectors. Furthermore, again through rental and digital purchase they can be easily found Warfare by Alex Garland.

Moving on to the films available ‘free’ on subscription platforms, we would like to point out Train Dreams e A House of Dynamite su Netflixbut also Black Bag su Sky/NOW. Also, connect on Prime Video for After the Hunt by Luca Guadagninowhile the adrenaline F1 is available on Apple TV. And speaking of adrenaline, Tom Cruise’s new film will arrive on Sky and NOW from 26 December, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning.

Finally, regarding the animation Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle by Haruo Sotozaki it is still absent from the world of streaming and will only be released on Crunchyroll during 2026; the same thing applies to Zootropolis 2 – coming soon to Disney+ – while unfortunately for now there is no news yet Ne Zha 2.
