The Immortal Man, Cillian Murphy is Tommy Shelby in the explosive trailer!
Four years after saying goodbye to the Shelby clan, the most infamous criminal gang in Birmingham and on the small screen makes its grand return to official trailer for Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Manthe first sequel film of the saga produced by the on-demand streaming platform Netflix.
The film, which is the direct sequel to the hit crime series, will be released in select theaters on March 6 and will be available for streaming on Netflix starting March 20.
History reports Oscar winner Cillian Murphy in the starring role of Tommy Shelbyand in addition to him there will also be Sophie Rundle who will reprise the role of Tommy’s sister, Ada Thorne, and Stephen Graham and Ned Dennehy who will return as the Shelby family allies, Hayden Stagg and Charlie Strong respectively. The cast also includes newcomers Rebecca Ferguson, Barry Keoghan, Tim Roth and Jay Lycurgo while Tom Harper, who directed several episodes of the series, signed on to direct from a screenplay obviously written by Stephen Knightseries creator and producer.
The Peaky Blinders TV series debuted on the BBC in 2013, with Netflix subsequently acquiring the distribution rights. Peaky Blinders ended in 2022 after six seasonsbut this new film will not be the final act: Netflix and BBC have in fact revealed that they are already working on a new Peaky Blinders TV series.
