1700 km en Chevrolet Silverado EV : light is not right !
The Chevrolet Silverado EV weighs 3,350 kg empty. And yet, a copy of this heavy electric pickup has just traveled 1,705 km (1,059.2 miles) on a single load. And yet the vehicle is approved for much less than that.
In its 2026 version in “Max Range” edition, Chevy Silverado has therefore largely exceeded 793 km of autonomy measured by EPA. Yet EPA uses a more restrictive approval cycle than our WLTP. With this record for a standard electric vehicle, Chevrolet ridicules the 1,205 km made by Lucid with the Air Grand Touring sedan.
But, there is a wolf! Lucid used a slightly descent trip a priori. However, Chevrolet also cunned by preparing the vehicle for the small onions. Oh, nothing but the quidam could not do. Well, the other asset of the Chevrolet Silverado EV Max Range is its huge battery capacity. The Ultium Maison battery has a capacity of 205 kWh. Bulk ? Four Peugeot E-208! It puts this record into perspective, right? Between the KWH and an adapted course, there is a way to make a distance record on a single load.
Go Chevrolet, now make this attempted town (or even a highway) in winter, with 4 people and their luggage. Chick?
