Ford F-150 Tremor takes the top of the line and costs less than RAM 1500 Basic

The promised off-road version of the Ford F-150, finally, arrived. The tremor version joins the Lariat and Lariat Black, who had differently only the name and a few visual details.

The Ford F-150 Tremor goes beyond and is not only in a different design, it also promises to improve the road. It charges more for this, of course: for $ 580,000, is $ 20,000 more expensive than the others and assumes the top of the line. It remains cheaper than the leader of the segment, RAM 1500, which in its entry version, Laramie, part of the $ 584,000.

In the look, we highlight the orange appliques. The most showy is on the front grid, replacing the piece that was chrome or black. The coolest is the lights, also oranges, at both ends, helping to compose the optical set with headlights and LED DLRs.

Other details of the version are less flashy, such as stickers on the bucket lid and side. And there are two very functional news. The first and most obvious is the rear trailer hook, item not found in other versions. The other is the new, less designed front bumper, which helps to increase the 24.3º to 28th pickup’s attack angle

The F-150 tremor still receives a whole special suspension kit for adventurers. There are new shock absorbers, springs, stabilizer bar, and direction geometry with a new front -axle sleeve. These additions make the version more with a larger free gap, 277 mm, against 239 mm from other versions.

To get even better on the road, the F-150 features an exclusive Off-Road autopilot mode. It can be used at speeds of up to 32 km/he controls traction in climbs and descents. In addition, it allows the One Pedal steering, where when removing the accelerator pedal, automatically the vehicle begins to brake, almost as an electric car does.

Alleging to him, there is also the curve assistant, ideal for circumventing closed and narrow places. Like off-road autopilot, it can only be used in reduced 4×4 or 4×4 modes at low speeds. Just the driver completely stretches the steering wheel and the brake will lock the inner rear wheel to the curve to decrease the spin radius.

The F-150 Tremor has the same list of equipment, keeping the 12 ” Sync 4 Multimedia Center with Apple Carplay and Android Auto Wireless, 12 ” Digital Digital Instrument Frame, two-zone digital air conditioning, induction charger and wireless updates.

It also follows with driving and safety assistance resources, which include adaptive autopilot, lane permanence assistant, emergency autonomous braking, 8 airbags, blind spot monitor, 360º camera, among others.

The news is due to the 6 customizable commands at the top of the cabin. They can be used in the way the driver imagines for their customizations, providing connections from 10a to 30A.

The new F-150 Tremor is now available and brings the new white Space color among its news. The Tremor family will soon expand to the Maverick line, marking the restyling of the pickup in Brazil.
