Megaoperation: who are the Red Command’s most wanted criminals
A Megaoperation Its main objective was to combat the territorial expansion of the Red Command (CV) and serve arrest warrants against members and criminal leaders, according to the Public Security Secretariat (SESP) and the State Government. The action took place last Tuesday (28), in Complexo do Alemão and Penha. Between the most sought after they were “Dock” and other leaders who escaped.
The operation, considered the most lethal in Brazilian history, arrested 113 suspects, seized 118 weapons and left 121 dead – 117 civilians and 4 police officers.
The list of arrest warrants that GAECO/RJ (Specialized Action Group to Combat Organized Crime) had for Tuesday’s operation (28), included big names from the CV.
Among the suspects who escaped are “Doca da Penha”, “Pezão do Alemão”, “Abelha”, “Pedro Bala”, “Gardenal” and “BMW”. The information was confirmed by documents from the MPRJ (Rio de Janeiro Public Ministry) that CNN Brasil had access to.
“Doca da Penha or Urso”
Edgar Alves de Andrade, aka “Doca” or “Urso” is from the Comando Vermelho faction. He would currently be the head of drug trafficking in Morro do São Simão, in Queimados, and one of the leaders of the CV. The suspect is originally from Caiçara, Paraíba.
After his escape during the Megaoperation, Hotline Denúncia announced a reward of 100 thousand reais for anyone who locates him.
“Pezão do Alemão”

Luciano Martiniano da Silva, known as “Pezão” or “Pé” or “Peanut”, is from the Comando Vermelho faction. He would currently be the head of drug trafficking in Complexo do Alemão and one of the leaders of the CV. The suspect is originally from Rio de Janeiro, RJ.
He allegedly took control of the community after receiving direct orders from Márcio dos Santos Nepomuceno, Marcinho VP and Fernandinho Beira-Mar to kill his former boss, drug trafficker Antônio de Souza Ferreira (Tota) in 2008.
“Bee”

Wilton Carlos Rabelho Quintanilha, aka “Abelha”, is from the Comando Vermelho faction. Currently, he would be one of the CV’s leaders, and would be working in direct partnership with “Doca” in drug trafficking – the plan would be to take control of Rocinha and other communities in Rio de Janeiro.
In addition to the arrest warrants for trafficking, “Abelha” has warrants for murder. The suspect is originally from the state of Rio de Janeiro.
“Pedro Bala”

Pedro Paulo Guedes, aka “Pedro Bala” is from the Comando Vermelho faction. He would currently be one of the CV’s drug trafficking bosses and leader of the “Tropa do Urso”.
In addition to the arrest warrants for trafficking, “Pedro Bala” has two warrants for murder. The suspect is originally from Rio de Janeiro, RJ.
“Gardenal”

Carlos Da Costa Neves, aka “Gardenal”, is from the Comando Vermelho faction. He would currently be one of the CV’s leading people.
The suspect is originally from Rio de Janeiro, RJ.
“BMW”

Juan Breno Malta Ramos Rodrigues, aka “BW” or “BMW” is from the Comando Vermelho faction. Currently, he would be one of the CV’s leading people.
The suspect is originally from Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais.
