10 to 80% in 9 minutes

Unsurprisingly, electric mobility is advancing rapidly, and China has been the great protagonist. One of the greatest examples of this is the 7x Zeekr, an electric SUV equipped with Golden Battery, a battery that raises the recharge pattern to another level. It can reach 80% load in just 9 minutes and 45 seconds, becoming the electric car with the fastest recharge in the world.

Golden Battery, developed by Zeekr, uses LFP (lithium-ferrophosphate) technology and operates with a 5.5C load rate. This means that it can load or unload at a rate 5.5 times higher than its total capacity per hour. Combined with an 800V system, this technology allows incredibly fast charging, surpassing most electric vehicles available on the market.

In the tests performed, the 7x Zeekr reached a 460 kW peak of power and managed to load 10 80% in just 9 minuteseven better than the official time declared by ZEEKR, which is 10.5 minutes. For comparison, Porsche Taycan, one of Europe’s most advanced models, takes approximately 18 minutes to make the same load.

Autonomy and Efficiency

The 7x Zeekr is available with two battery options:

• 75 kWh (lfp): Autonomy of up to 615 km in the CLTC (more optimistic) cycle and about 480 km in the European standard WLTP.

• 100 kWh (NCM – nickel, cobalt and manganese): ate autonomy 780 km in CLTC and 615 km in WLTP.

With this efficiency, the 7X ZEEKR approaches the convenience of combustion cars, as its loading time is similar to that of a conventional supply.

Zeekr is one of the most innovative brands of the Geely group, which also controls other giants such as Volvo, Polestar and Lotus. Its advance in electrification is supported by a high degree of vertical integration, with its own development of batteries, porters and recharge stations.

China already leads the global electrification market, and the arrival of models like Zeekr 7x to other markets is just a matter of time. In Brazil, there are expectations that the electric SUV will land soon, expanding the ZEEKR line here, which has the models X and 001.

With increasingly shorter recharge times and larger autonomies, electric vehicles will become a viable and competitive option from combustion cars. Remembering that the recharge infrastructure is also a determining factor for the expansion of this technology and the two advancing together will help to turn the electricity market game.
