‘Harry Potter’ actor appears unrecognizable after abandoning his artistic career

The “Harry Potter” saga consecrated several actors throughout its eight films — among them, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson e Rupert Grint, who grew together with their characters and became icons of a generation. But some “alumni” of the film followed very different paths after their success in theaters. It is the case that Stanislav Yanevski, the Bulgarian who played heartthrob Viktor Krum in “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” (2005).

In the fourth film in the franchise, Hogwarts welcomes students from foreign schools for the Triwizard Tournament. Viktor, Quidditch star and Durmstrang representative, arouses the public’s interest — and Ron Weasley’s jealousy — when he approaches Hermione Granger, played by Emma Watson.

Now 40 years old, Yanevski is away from acting and is dedicating himself to a new career. His last work as an actor was in 2021, in the feature film “Pandemia – A Guerra Final”. He even recorded a brief appearance in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1”, but the scene ended up being cut in the final edit.

Currently, Stanislav works as an educator and motivational speaker. The actor himself revealed the change of direction on his social networks. “Today was a very motivating day. I participated in a lecture and I hope I inspired the students as much as they inspired me”, he wrote after an event.

The transformation didn’t stop at his career — his look also changed. Known for his sober appearance, with a shaved head and sparse beard in the film, the actor now sports longer hair and a full beard, drawing attention from fans and the international press. On social media, he also shows that he maintains an intense physical exercise routine, sharing moments of training and messages of encouragement.
