It’s Documentary Film Month in Grand Cahors, in the Lot. From November 4 to 29, its network of libraries and media libraries offers twenty free screenings in Cahors, Pradines, Cabrerets, Trespoux-Rassiels, Douelle, Fontanes, Mercuès, Saint-Médard, Espère, Labastide-Marnhac, Lherm and Le Montat.
Meetings
From the mountains of Macedonia to Louisiana, from the countryside of the Massif Central to the landscapes of Lot, the 2025 program explores the richness of the world and the diversity of its inhabitants.
Each session is free and followed by a meeting: two directors from Lot, local actors, artists or associations will come and interact with the public. Some sessions are part of national festivals and highlights: Alimenterre, the Solidarity Festival, Migrant’scène, the Awareness Day against sexist and sexual violence.

Others are organized in partnership with numerous local stakeholders such as the Causses du Quercy regional natural park, the MJC of Cahors, the LPO Occitanie, the CIDFF du Lot, La Cimade, Kinomad, the CCFD-Terre solidaire, etc.
Among the events accompanying this program, we can cite “Honeyland” followed by a meeting with a beekeeper, “I will advance towards you with the eyes of a deaf man” session interpreted in French sign language, “The disappearance of the fireflies, La Loutre in complete privacy and Le Drauzou” for nature lovers, “The last demons of the blues” followed by a live concert…
