Ford F-150 is $ 25,000 more expensive, but is still cheaper than rivals

2025 started for Ford and right away the brand brought news to the F-150. The great pickup, success in the US, had its external look renewed and even a change in its offer of versions. All this without moving the price so far.

The luck is that its main rival in the segment, RAM 1500, has also been more expensive and now part of the $ 569,990 in the Laramie version. Ford also remains cheaper than Chevrolet Silverado, which starts from $ 566,190.

If the increase does not help, visual changes should give a new gas in sales. Even though it was cheaper, in 2024, the F-150 did not perform well in sales. There were only 550 units sold, according to Fenabrave (National Federation of Motor Vehicle Distribution). Already at 1,500 and Silverado had 1,231 and 1,277 plates, respectively.

In January 2025, however, things were better. While still cost $ 519,990, the F-150 managed to get 121 units, standing in front of Silverado (50), but behind 1500 (163).

What has changed in the F-150?

In practice, the pickup kept the classic drawing of its body, updating just a few details.

The grid and bumpers, for example, have gained a new design. The headlights also changed, gaining a signature that resembles the letter “F”.

In the rear the changes were more significant. In addition to a new design, the bucket lid now has side opening, made by a single door in the central portion of the piece. However, the traditional opening – that is, down – has not been ignored and is still available, being more useful for larger loads, and still has electric drive.

Inside, nothing changes, keeping the look and finish exactly identical to the 2024 model. This is not bad, after all, the quality is good, but it is already outdated.

The list of standard equipment also has automatic emergency braking systems, adaptive autopilot, blind dot alerts, lane permanence system, high automatic headlights, 360 ° camera system and eight airbags. There is also electronic adjustment of pedal height, engine starting over the switch and panoramic sunroof.

There are also no mechanical changes. The engine is the V8 5.0 the 405 hp aspirated gasoline and 56.7 kgfm. The gearbox is a ten -speed automatic and the 4 × 4 rear 4 × 2, 4 × 4, 4 × 4 mode with reduced and 4 × 4 automatic 4 × 4 mode mode.
