Rio – Disney studios released this Tuesday (11) the first preview of “Toy Story 5”, the new animation from the Pixar franchise. Directed by Andrew Stanton, the film promises to rekindle fans’ nostalgia and reflect on the clash between generations.
In the teaser, the iconic toys come together again and show concern about the arrival of a mysterious box at the house where they live. In addition to Buzz Lightyear, Woody and Jessie, Slinky, Forky and Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head also appear, who panic when they discover Bonnie’s new technological companion: LilyPad, a tablet that comes to life and becomes the newest electronic character in the saga.
To the sound of “Never Tear Us Apart”, by the Australian band INXS, the preview displays the provocative phrase: “Is the age of toys over?”, reflecting on the relationship of new generations with technology.
The video also confirms the animation’s debut in theaters for June 19, 2026.
