What happens in the post-credits scene

The post-credits scene of Zootopia 2 shows Judy Hopps in her apartment, once again with the iconic carrot-shaped pen, now restored and given to her by Nick. The police officer spends a few moments repeatedly listening to a message recorded by her partner, until she is interrupted by neighbors who complain about the noise. After a brief exchange of provocations, Judy leaves the room and the object remains on the window sill.

With the room empty, the camera highlights the silence and the framing of the window. It is at that moment that a feather gently falls next to the pen, suggesting the presence of a bird nearby. The detail is significant, since, throughout the two films, the public was introduced to mammals and, more recently, reptiles, but never to birds.
