Months after its debut abroad, Eddingtonmost recent film by Ari Asterfinally arrives in Brazilian cinemas. The film, starring Pedro Pascal, Emma Stone e Joaquin Phoenix is one of the main releases on the commercial circuit this week, going on display on Thursday, the 13th.

Master’s Trick – The 3rd Actthe new chapter in the franchise of con artist illusionists, also hits the big screen this week, with Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco e Woody Harrelson returning to their characters.

The biblical film Shadows in the Desertstarring Nicolas Cageis another big debut of the week, adapting the Infancy Gospel of Thomas, which tells the story of the youth of Jesus Christ, as a psychological thriller.

The week is also one of relaunches, with The Rocky Horror Picture Showwhich turns 50 years old, and Wickedwarming up for its sequel that arrives on the 19th, returning to theaters.

Between cults and conspiracy theories, the city becomes a powder keg ready to explode on the eve of an important election.

Master’s Trick – The 3rd Act

The Four Horsemen return to the spotlight for a new million-dollar scam. To do this, they recruit a new generation of illusionists to help them in the heist.

Shadows in the Desert

The Carpenter (Nicolas Cage), his wife (FKA Twigs) and the Boy (Noah Skirt) flee from their past through the Egyptian desert. Followed by a mysterious figure, the family faces an unimaginable challenge when the boy manifests previously unknown forces.

A girl dedicated to realizing her dream of entering a prestigious dance school has her life turned upside down after falling in love with a popular bad boy.

The documentary shows the lives of LGBTIAPN+ families from the children’s perspective, with the director Leandro Wenceslau interweaving the accounts of his interviewees with his own growth and process of identity discovery.

Maldito Modigliani

The documentary Maldito Modigliani tells the story of the painter Amedeo Modigliani (1884-1920) from the point of view of his wife, also a painter Jeanne Hébuterne (1898-1920). Exploring the complexity of Modigliani’s art, the film, originally released in 2020, is an intimate portrait of an avant-garde artist and the struggles faced by him and his family.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show (rerelease)

After their car breaks down, a couple takes shelter in the creepy mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, whose obsession with pleasure transforms their lives.

Wicked (relaunch – November 16)

Warming up for the premiere of Wicked: Parte 2the original film returns to theaters on the eve of the sequel’s arrival. The musical tells the story of the unlikely friendship between Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) and Glinda (Ariana Grande) and how their meeting at school led to the events of The Magic of Oz.
