A new teaser for Avengers: Doomsday leaked online, in French this time

Another teaser of the film Avengers: Doomsday is circulating on the internet, with French dubbing. It features another key superhero from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Is the leak turning into a flood at Marvel Studios? Or is it a clever communication strategy to raise the mayonnaise for Avengers: Doomsday ? Still, exactly one week after the broadcast of a first teaser, another brief sequence is circulating on the web, on December 22, 2025.

While the first video featured the return of a superhero beloved by fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), the new scene – which leaked with French dubbing – shows another well-known hero. This is Thor, a character whose presence had been officially confirmed in spring 2025, among a large cast.

If the quality of the video leaves something to be desired – we can guess a screen filmed on the run – the content is unequivocal. And he confirms one thing: gone are the days of screaming goats and schoolboy jokes. Thor: Love and Thunder. Here, the god of thunder and lightning appears very concerned about the situation, and reports a new enemy.

Warning, the following contains spoilers.

Thor, as a protective father

The video, which circulates in particular on X and Reddit, therefore features another pillar of the “Marvelian trinity”. The first teaser focused on Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), the second presents Thor (Chris Hemsworth). Everything suggests that the third teaser will be the opportunity to present Dr Doom (Robert Downey Jr, ex Tony Star / Iron Man).

The leak involves a video in French, in which we can recognize the voice of Adrien Antoine. We discover a somber, collected Thor Odinson speaking to the spirit of his father – Odin (Anthony Hopkins), who does not appear in the video – in a solemn prayer. The atmosphere, we repeat, is very different from Love and Thunder.

The teaser also reveals a hero in a new status, that of father. We see him, in fact, during a brief passage, at the bedside of his “adopted daughter”, who is in fact the child of Gorr (Christian Bale), the big villain of Love and Thunder. We already saw this dynamic at work during the epilogue, in a rather amusing sort of father-daughter relationship.

If we reframe this teaser with what Thor was at the start of the MCU, it’s day and night. Here, Thor no longer wants to fight for glory and honors, but to preserve his daughter, “ a life preserved from the storm “. He no longer sees himself as a warrior, but as a protector, and hopes that she can live a peaceful life, something he has never known.

Paternity, a key theme?

It is notable to note that the two teasers revolve around fatherhood: Steve Rogers is shown as a father, thinking of happy days (which could be the starting point of a dramatic scenario), and Thor is evoked as a protective (adoptive) father, praying for peace. Will we see the same thing with Dr. Doom?

It’s very possible, especially since a post-credits scene concerning Fantastic Four showed an interaction between Dr. Doom and Franklin, the son of Reed Richards and Sue Storm. Maybe the teaser about the future big badAvengers: Doomsday will persist in this path, digging into the Frankin / Doom link.

Still, with these two teasers, the marketing strategy seems to be focusing on the heartstrings and personal issues. Unlike the Infinity Saga, where the superheroes seemed to fight for cosmic, abstract or just planetary issues, the Multiverse Saga could bring this back to the level of men and women: children and family.
