Actress Julia Roberts likes to be at the stove

Hollywood star Julia Roberts loves to be in the kitchen. “I cook all the time – on set but also at home,” the 57-year-old told the “Augsburger Allgemeine” on Saturday. “Hunger comes about every four hours – so it’s a pretty regular occurrence for me.” For her, cooking is “something loving, down-to-earth” – just like making films.

In her new film “After the Hunt,” Julia Roberts plays a literature professor whose personal life and career are thrown into disarray after a me-too scandal. If she were teaching a subject in real life, she wouldn’t have to think twice: “Obviously: home economics!” said Roberts. “It sounds old-fashioned, but it’s the things you need for life – cooking, baking, ironing, writing a check… I love it!” said the 57-year-old. “These are real life skills.”
