Andrew Garfield in “Avengers”? Actor answers whether he will return as Spider-Man
The actor Andrew Garfield42, was asked if he would make an appearance as Spider-Man in the new Marvel film, “Avengers: Doomsday”, scheduled for 2026. The star, who played the superhero in the 2012 and 2014 films, surprised audiences by appearing in 2021’s “Spider-Man: No Way Home”, starring Tom Holland.
“No, definitely not,” he responded in an interview with GQ magazine.
Garfield and Tobey Maguire, the first actor to wear the Spider-Man costume in theaters in 2002, made a surprise appearance in the saga led by Holland, playing the superhero in other multiverses.
The British star is confirmed in the new Avengers film, which will also have Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr. and more in the cast. But Garfield ruled out involvement in the production.
