Atrium Shopping hosts CineMaterna session with “Wicked: Part II” this Wednesday (03)

Disclosure

This Wednesday, 03/12, Atrium Shopping (managed by Grupo AD), in Santo André, is holding another edition of the CineMaterna project, aimed at mothers, family members and babies up to 18 months old. From 2:10 pm, the public will be able to watch the film “Wicked: Part II”, dubbed, in a room specially adapted for the comfort of little ones. The first ten mothers with babies up to 18 months guarantee complimentary entry (limited to one courtesy per baby).

CineMaterna’s proposal is to offer a moment of rest, leisure and hospitality at the beginning of motherhood. The environment has dimly lit lights, softer air conditioning, reduced sound, equipped changing tables (with diapers and wet wipes), parking for strollers and a mat in the front row for babies who can already sit or crawl. The sessions also have the support of CineMaterna volunteers, the “pinks”, always available to help families. After the film, the audience is invited to a relaxed chat that encourages the exchange of experiences.

The title chosen for this edition is “Wicked: Part II”, a direct continuation of the great success “Wicked”, which won over the public by bringing a new perspective on the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda, characters from the classic Wizard of Oz. The second part arrived in theaters breaking records: it grossed US$226 million globally in its opening weekend, including US$150 million in North America, a mark that made it the adaptation of a Broadway musical with the best debut in history in the USA.

The 161-minute musical fantasy, rated 10, follows Elphaba, demonized as the Wicked Witch of the West, living in exile as she tries to expose the truth about the Wizard, while Glinda becomes the official symbol of goodness in Oz, until an angry mob forces the two to come together once again.

“It’s a joy to see the cinema once again becoming a welcoming and coexistence space for families. CineMaterna creates a gentle environment, designed to make mothers feel comfortable enjoying the moment with their babies”, comments Luciano Abílio, marketing coordinator at Atrium Shopping.

CineMaterna is a non-profit social initiative that organizes adapted cinema sessions for mothers, fathers and families with babies up to 18 months old. Since 2008, the project has been present in 46 cities, brought together more than 455 thousand adults and 249 thousand babies and has 268 collaborating mothers.
