Before debuting, ‘The Secret Agent’ had already been seen by almost 60 thousand spectators in Brazil

Awarded at Cannes and Brazilian representative at the 2026 Oscars, “The Secret Agent” was seen by 58 thousand people in its preview in Brazilian cinemas, according to unpublished data from Comscore. The film starring Wagner Moura was shown on the big screen on two consecutive Saturdays, still in limited sessions and with applause in theaters, before its official release next Thursday (6).

Kleber Mendonça Filho’s film has already raised R$1.36 million, around R$700,000 this weekend alone, when 28,000 people watched the production. Initially, the film reached approximately 250 cinemas in 76 Brazilian cities.

The leadership in cinemas was once again with “The Black Phone 2”, which earned R$ 2.96 million with 147 thousand tickets sold between Thursday and Sunday. It once again surpassed “If It Wasn’t For You”, an adaptation of the work by Colleen Hoover, whose income was R$2.71 million with 116 thousand spectators.

“The Corpse Bride” completed the podium, with a box office of R$ 1.11 million. The film was watched by 69 thousand people and was ahead of the newcomer “O Natal da Patrulha Canina”, which totaled R$ 1.05 million and 46 thousand spectators.

In addition to the premiere of “The Secret Agent”, in sixth place, the top 10 cinemas also had another national feature film: “Perrengue Fashion”, starring Ingrid GuimarĂŁes. In tenth place, the comedy has an accumulated audience of R$365 thousand people and R$7.58 million in income.
