Best horror film of the year gets a date to arrive on streaming

The Evil Houra horror film released on August 7th in Brazilian cinemas, has a date to arrive on streaming: from September 21it will be possible to rent or buy the film on the Prime Video, Claro TV+, YouTube, Apple TV+ and Vivo Play platforms, without the need for a subscription to the services.

O longa directed by Zach Cregger, from Brutal Nights (2022), is set in a small town where 17 children from the same class mysteriously disappear, after running out of the house at 2:17 am for no apparent reason. Quickly, the class teacher, Justine (Julia Garner), becomes the first and main suspect, being vehemently blamed by Archer (Josh Brolin), father of one of the missing children.

Police officer Paul (Alden Ehrenreich) also enters the equation, who is drawn into the mystery in an unusual way. The chilling story is told through different points of view that are interconnected throughout the film and fit together perfectly at the end, showing that not everything is as it seems. Extra brilliance is added by the performances of Julia Garner, Austin Abrams, Benedict Wong and child actor Cary Christopher.

The Evil Hour is inspired by films like The Suspects (2013), Magnolia (1999) e Hereditary (2018) and brings good horror back to cinemas alongside the recent ones Sinners (Ryan Coogler), Make Her Come Back (Danny and Michael Philippou) and Together (Michael Shanks).
