‘Black Phone 2’ is the horror movie that shows that “hell is different than you think”

Surely when talking about hell, many of you think of a burning place with red tones and suffocating heat. Well then, the most anticipated horror movie this Halloween, ‘Black Phone 2’comes to demonstrate just the opposite, that hell is a cold place and that “nothing burns like the cold”.

In the exclusive clip that you have on these lines, you can see what we mean. This sequel to the blockbuster thriller Blumhouse (“the sequel to one of the most terrifying films of recent years”) will be set in the middle of the snow and Its filming has been as extreme as the film itself.

The original cast (made up of familiar faces such as Mason Thames, Ethan Hawke and Madeleine McGraw) reveals that recordings in Toronto, Canadawere made with real snow and a biting cold. According to them, “it helped a lot with the authenticity of the film because we were really freezing“.

“Every day it got colder, and colder, and colder. The power went out because of so many snow storms. It got so cold that we had to stop filming. I think the public senses that sense of isolation. It puts you fully into this world, which it’s terrifying“, say its protagonists.

For them, hell is blue and icy. Hopefully for us it will also happen when ‘Black Phone 2’ hits theaters on October 24, 2025.
