Blumhouse creator says James Wan will continue in Saw

In an interview for Variety, o CEO yes Blumhouse, Jason Blumcommented on the participation of James Wan in the future of the franchise Saw.

“It’s very difficult to make 10 films in a franchise — I don’t take that from the producers of the original series. And I’m grateful to them for allowing us to continue,” explained the executive, who commented on Wan’s participation. “My creative perspective is the one I always preach: involving more of the people who made the magic in the first place. James Wan (the original director) will be extremely involved. This is how we will reinvent the series”

Recently, Wan commented on how he would like to revitalize the franchise. “It’s a little early to talk about it, but needless to say, I’m very excited. Simply because I haven’t had much to do with the franchise since the early days. I think it’s challenging and exciting because I get to go back to the film that started my career – mine and Leigh Whannell’s career. I’m not taking this lightly, and I definitely want to find a way for the next film to respect what fans love about the franchise while also finding a new audience for it.”Wan began. “It’s a 20-year-old franchise, and I think finding a fresh start, to some extent, is important, while still staying true to the world we’ve created.”he concluded.
