Bruce Springsteen: a night in EUR to celebrate “The Boss”
Born to Run was released in 1975, the album that would propel Bruce Springsteen into legend. A record that captured, with youthful impetus and depth, the sense of American urgency: to escape, to love, to take risks. Fifty years after that unbridled ride, the legacy of “The Boss” continues to speak to all generations.
To celebrate his power and cultural impact, in Rome the Eur Music Fest – The Sound of Legends dedicates a tribute evening to the New Jersey singer-songwriter that promises to be vibrant and engaging: on Saturday 25 October, the Glory Guys, one of the best Italian Springsteen tribute bands, will take to the stage for a musical journey that spans decades of career, from Thunder Road to The Rising, passing through the ballads more intimate and the great rock anthems.
It won’t be a monographic set on the ’75 album but a broader celebration of the entire Springsteen repertoire – and what it represents: sweat, road, truth, community. The perfect figure for Eur Music Fest, a popular festival on the Roman scene which has made the musical tribute an opportunity for generations to meet, in an urban space reconquered to culture.
The October 25th appointment is part of the festival’s programming – hosted in the new covered venue in via di Vigna Murata 60, Laurentina area – with concerts every Friday and Saturday.
