Chris Evans is Steve Rogers again in the first official teaser for Avengers: Doomsday
Chris Evans returns to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The first teaser trailer for Avengers: Doomsday shows a profoundly changed Steve Rogers, immersed in a new private dimension: fatherhood. The short film, devoid of dialogue and accompanied only by the Avengers theme music, follows Rogers as he reaches an isolated farm on his motorbike. Here we see him holding a newborn baby, visibly emotional. In another scene, Steve opens a trunk and looks at his Captain America uniform. The teaser ends with a writing on a black background that confirms the return of the character: “Steve Rogers will return in Avengers: Doomsday”.
The official publication comes after the unauthorized dissemination of the video, which circulated online and was shown in some theaters during previews of Avatar: Fire and ash. There would also be a teaser dedicated to Thor with Chris Hemsworth. Directors Joe and Anthony Russo commented on the return with a message on social media: “The character that changed our lives. The story that brought us this far together. It always had to come back to this.”
Captain America’s last appearance was in Avengers: Endgame (2019), when Rogers, now elderly, handed the shield to Sam Wilson. Avengers: Doomsday will be released in theaters on December 18, 2026.
