Cinemaxx Bauhaus Exclusive presents premieres of “A Casa Mágica da Gabby” and “Perrengue Fashion” on the schedule from October 9th to 15th

Starting this Thursday, October 9th, Cinemaxx Bauhaus Exclusive, in Petrópolis, presents a special program that combines eagerly awaited releases, national productions and globally successful animations. The premieres of “Gabby’s Magic House: The Movie” and “Perrengue Fashion” share space with the historical drama “Malês” and with the last sessions of “Ghibli Fest 2025”, which reaches its fourth and final week of exhibition. The sessions take place at Shopping Bauhaus, at Rua Doutor Nelson de Sá Earp, 88, in the center of Petrópolis.

The animation “Gabby’s Magic House: The Movie” premieres with 2D dubbed sessions, at 2:30 pm and 4:30 pm, and free ratings, promising to delight audiences of all ages. The Universal Pictures production mixes adventure, comedy and fantasy in a story full of imagination and sensitivity. The plot follows Gabby, played by Laila Lockhart Kraner, on a car trip with her grandmother Gigi, played by Gloria Estefan, to the city of Cat Francisco. Upon arriving in the enchanted metropolis, the young girl discovers that her precious dollhouse is in the hands of the eccentric lady Vera and, determined to get it back, she brings together all the Gabby Cats on a magical journey about friendship, courage and dreams.

Another big premiere of the week is “Perrengue Fashion”, with 2D sessions at 8:30 pm, except on Fridays and Wednesdays, and an age rating of 14. Starring Ingrid Guimarães, the Paris Filmes film presents Paula Pratta, a fashion influencer who is at the height of her career until she is surprised by the decision of her son, Cadu, played by Filipe Bragança, to abandon everything to live in a sustainable ecovillage in the Amazon. Determined to bring him back to São Paulo, Paula embarks on a journey full of discoveries and transformations, where she finds herself faced with a way of life completely opposite to her own. The light and reflective dramatic comedy offers a sensitive look at family values ​​and the true meaning of success.

The Brazilian drama “Malês”, which enters its second week of exhibition, will be presented in 2D sessions at 8:30 pm, only on Fridays and Wednesdays, with a 16 age rating. Based on historical facts, the Imovision film portrays the Malês Revolt, the largest insurrection of enslaved black people in the history of Brazil, which took place in Salvador, in 1835. The plot follows the trajectory of an African couple forcibly separated and brought to the country as slaves, who fight for freedom amid the uprising led by Muslim Africans. In the cast, Antonio Pitanga plays Pacifico Licutan, a historical figure who symbolizes the union of different groups and religions around resistance and hope for a future free from oppression.

Closing the program, “Ghibli Fest 2025” reaches its fourth and final week, with 2D sessions dubbed at 6:30 pm and free classification. The exhibition celebrates the classics of Studio Ghibli, a global reference in Japanese animation, with remastered copies and new dubs in Portuguese. Since September 18, the festival has enchanted the Brazilian public with the poetic and dreamlike universes of Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata, showing titles such as “The Animated Castle”, “Vidas ao Vento”, “Spirited Away”, “Porco Rosso”, “Memories of Yesterday” and “Whispers of the Heart”. The retrospective, which visited several theaters across the country, ends in Petrópolis celebrating the magic, emotion and artistic legacy of one of the most acclaimed studios in the history of cinema.
