Happy Heist is Netflix’s biggest highlight this Sunday (30), after reaching the top of the platform’s most watched films ranking. The production, a recently released romantic comedy, has been winning over subscribers amid the Christmas title season.
The story follows Sophia, played by Olivia Holt, a young woman who works two jobs to make ends meet. Exhausted by her intense routine and pressured by the end of the year, she works at the traditional Sterlings department store, looking for financial relief.
Unmotivated by a petty boss, Sophia ends up crossing paths with Nick (Connor Swindells), hired to modernize the store’s security system, but who was never paid for the service. United by the feeling of injustice, the two see an opportunity to change their own destiny.
The plan? Rob the department store in London, where the boss keeps a large amount of money during the Christmas period. The partnership, however, goes beyond crime: throughout the preparations for the coup, both share secrets and discover an unexpected harmony.
