Jeremy Renner’s name is not included in the cast announced to date by Marvel Studios per Avengers: Doomsdaybut it was the actor who recently faced the potential involvement of Hawkeye in the next ensemble film. To the microphones of ComicBookshared his reflections on Hawkeye’s activity: is he retired or will he return to action? “I think he started already in retirement… but then he always retraced his steps. I think he’s a family man, you always know what his point of reference is and so he’s never really been retired. Until he is killed, he will continue to work”, he guaranteed.

Hawkeye’s path in the MCU has always been up and down. He attempted several times to withdraw from that world of violence, but was promptly dragged onto the battlefield and the last time it happened precisely in Hawkeye. Jeremy Renner’s words are reminiscent of those of Joe Russo. After the release of Avengers: Endgamethe director had mentioned the sad fate of Iron Man as an example of what could also happen to the other heroes: “I think, in a way, Tony Stark was destined to die. And…here’s the interesting thing about our culture. A lot of people get angry when I say things like that. But when you’re a hero, your job is to die. This is your job as a hero: to sacrifice yourself for the greater good. And that’s what we try to teach people in the film: Either you do it for yourself, or you do it for the community. And Tony did it for the community”.
