First trailer for ‘Scream 7’: Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox face Ghostface again

When a new Ghostface killer appears in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has built a new life, his worst fears come true when his daughter (Isabel May) becomes the next target.

Paramount Pictures revives the enthusiasm of slasher fans with the official release of the first trailer for Scream 7revealed this Thursday, October 30.

The new installment concretizes a long-awaited reunion: Neve Campbell returns to play the iconic survivor Sidney Prescott after being absent in Scream VI (2023).

The film will hit cinemas in Argentina next February 26, 2026.

The clip starts with a couple who decides to spend the night in the former house of Stu Machernow converted into a Woodsboro murders-themed Airbnb. But what begins as a tribute to crime history ends in carnage when the new Ghostface arrives.

The advancement of Scream 7 It also shows Sidney Prescott trying to rebuild his life in a small, peaceful town, until a new killer with the Ghostface mask breaks his peace. This time, the threat also reaches his own daughter, who becomes the killer’s main target.

The trailer, described by IGN like a “preview that promises pure terror”, reproduces the brutality of the original saga and proposes a more marked emotional tension, focused on motherhood and the legacy of trauma.

Scream 7 It also marks a milestone within the franchise: for the first time, Kevin Williamsonoriginal screenwriter for Scream (1996), takes over the direction. His arrival represents a return to the roots of contemporary horror created with Wes Craven, who died in 2015.

The filming of this seventh installment was marked by setbacks: from delays resulting from strikes by actors and scriptwriters, to the departure of important characters from the cast.

The return of Lillard, whose character died in the original 1996 film, had been one of the most talked about announcements. At the moment, it is speculated that he could appear in some fictional flashback.
