The Cineclube O Homem de Areia, from Fundação Casa de José Américo (FCJA), ends its 2025 program with the screening of the French comedy “What harm have I done to God?” (What have we done to the good Lord?), from 1975. The single session will be held next Wednesday, December 3rd, at 7pm, at Sesc Cabo Branco, located at Avenida Cabo Branco, 2788, in João Pessoa. Entry is free.

After the 97 minutes of screening, there will be commentary by film critic Andrès von Desauer, advisor to the Cineclube. Directed by Philippe de Chauveron, the film follows an upper-class Catholic family whose conservative parents want their four daughters to marry within the same socioeconomic standard, but see their expectations frustrated throughout the plot.

The meetings of the Cineclube O Homem de Areia have been temporarily held at Sesc Cabo Branco, always on the first Wednesday of each month, with debates led by experts after the sessions.
