While Ingrid Guimarães granted interview to Estadão In a movie theater in the region of Paulista Avenue, an audience formed by journalists watched the actress’s new movie for the first time, the comedy Fashionin the room below.

“It’s always a nervous. The popular movie is only real success if it reaches the suburb,” says the actress. The feature, which hits theaters on the 9th, is the first Brazilian feature of Amazon MGM Studios and has the mission to add a few million more viewers to the Ingrid has already attracted to theaters with films like movies like Air -to -air, Crazy to get married e My sister and me.

“The discussion is interesting. Parents will identify very much with Paula Pratta. This mother has grated a lifetime to pay for her child’s college and thinks she will solve his future through her frustration,” Ingrid explains.

What possibilities does this investment of Amazon bring to you actors, screenwriters and Brazilian directors?

I had the possibility to make an expensive movie. One of the most beautiful productions I’ve ever done. Amazon has gringa quality standard. He values a beautiful image, a well -made poster, a dramaturgy that talks to the whole world. I had to change texts many times that they warned me that they would not work outside. I came from a cinema in which we grated to capture (resources) …

Speaking of grate, this roll up with sleeves, writing the scripts and producing the movies, was a desire or motivated by the lack of opportunities within the Brazilian industry?

Same need (laughs). Survival. The role of my generation’s woman in the comedy was supporting. Currently, when I see Tatá Werneck is a protagonist of soap opera and comedies, I know it was something pierced by us and actresses who came before. There was no big role for us in soap operas. The mood programs were all starring men, such as Chico Anysio, Jô Soares, the Bumbling, Tom Cavalcanti … we were “the women of the guys.” My phone has never played to be a protagonist. Not to mention that it did not touch, it touched Air -to -airbut I was the second option. Gloria Pires didn’t stop. The comedies of Globo Filmes were for the soap opera actresses. We were called just to make the secretary, the maid, the funny friend … the press treated my movies like “little woman movies.” I had to do my protagonism. I learned this in the theater. I was gaining spaces where I could talk. In the cinema, I struggled to get to this place. I researched, worked, asked to collaborate in the text, gave my pitacos on the script …

People think comedy becomes fast. Mine is well thought out, okay?

How did the idea come to the movie ‘Perrengue Fashion’?

I already made six hits, right? What else am I going to do different now? I have been very mobilized about what it is to influence. It’s something that has taken over our life – my generation, so I had to learn to deal with it. The idea also came with a program that I did in GNT about consumption, the Beyond the accountwhich was very successful. I started doing the program for Class A and B, but then the dollar went up and transferred the Miami and New York program to major Brazilian trade centers such as 25 de Março Street (in São Paulo) and Sahara (in Rio de Janeiro). It was twice the success. We interviewed people who, even though they had no money, bought, shared ten times. It is a Brazilian phenomenon: you need to have something brand to belong to the world. I mixed the subjects. The protagonist of the film became a 50 +influencer. Why can only a young man influence? We are the silver economy, of which I already feel part. It took time (to elaborate the theme). People think comedy becomes fast. Mine is well thought out, okay?

Good comedy is what a message passes?

The good comedy is the good comedy. It has comedy that does not go through any message and I laugh from start to finish. It has the most stereotyped characters, and if it is good, everything is fine. In fact, the good thing is the one that works. People despise comedy, but making success in the cinema with a comedy is very difficult. It needs a good text, which fits in the mouth of each actor. The text that serves to Tatá is not for me. The comedy is made of great differences from characters. The director or director needs to understand the actor’s timing. If the edition misses, the joke does not happen. In the theater, we train this on time. In cinema, we go through many steps. In my last movies, I was able to go to the island of editing – thank God! I consider myself a chronicler of life and not a joke killer. I treat a comedy just like a drama movie.

How did you learn to deal with digital life?

I think I got along very well. On the internet, you don’t have to be a good actress, but a good communicator. I know actresses who suffer to do. And it’s really a suffering. I get tired, sometimes. But I am displayed, I like to speak. For an actress looking for sponsorship, who paid $ 500,000 to announce her pieces in a newspaper, having a free space is a gift. Of course, I don’t know how to do it alone. I depend on a team. But I found a way to show content that is true and at the same time do not expose my personal life. When I put my daughter (in posts), it’s always very well negotiated. The other day, I made a video about female brotherhood. Had 5 million views. It’s very powerful!

You quoted your daughter, and the character in the movie tries to bring your son into the digital world, include him in the campaigns she makes. How do you deal with this in relation to your daughter?

Continues after advertising

The discussion is interesting. Parents will identify with her. This mother (from the movie) has grated her entire life to pay her son’s college and thinks she will solve his future through her frustration. She needs to learn to accept her child’s choices. Especially when you have a single child – and I have a single daughter. In the movie, the worlds of mother and son are bets, and then the comedy is made. In my case, my daughter, because she was practically born on a set, grew up in this middle. She said she wanted to be an actress. Then singer. Now you want to be a film director. And I hoping her not to be either. I know what I went through. I know what my mother went through!

There are parents who create profiles on social networks for children, many still babies, and make money from it. What do you think about it?

I find it crazy to expose his son without asking him what he wants. But each one knows about themselves. I just started putting my daughter on the networks now, with permission. My husband and she already gave me several scolding. She began to appear because of my trips with Monica Martelli. My daughter and Monica’s daughter hated appearing. I always respected. Now, teenagers, they started to like the game, there will be the movie. My fascination is not to show my daughter, my husband, my marriage – there are people who don’t even know I’m married – is to show what I think. I expose myself to help people, especially to help women. It is a difficult balance because money is on the internet.

Do you make money from the internet?

Of course. I have many campaigns because I have a powerful social network. I treat it as a business. It’s a place to make money, yes. Why do I have to give it up if it is not an aggression for me? The social network is not my artist. My artist is in theater and cinema. Social network, for me, is also a place of speech – and I talk about everything. I talk about femicide, for example, a subject that moves me a lot.

And with that, you found a bias …

Yes. A bias that I like a lot. A person who makes popular cinema, like me, who wants to reach all kinds of audiences, cannot despise the social network.

I make a point of putting sex scenes in my movies. I think that etheismo is also an aesthetic crisis

You talk a lot about ethaismo, about getting old in front of the cameras. How do you face it?

With courage and strength. As long as people stop paying my movies, I will fight it. Etarianism is a great silly. We have an experience and experience that no one has. The experience is gold. In the movie I’m making with Monica Martelli, we talked all about ethaismo – and we laugh at ourselves. This saves people. We have a lot of time for life! Just putting a 50+ woman as a protagonist, you are already fighting etheismo. And I make a point of putting sex scenes in my movies. I think that etheismo is also an aesthetic crisis, to think that we cannot be seen kissing, having sex, being sexy …

There is an issue that begins in the Oscar and reflects in most great cinema awards: the tradition of not rewarding comedies or comedians. How to win this?

This is the subject that may upset me most in the world today. In the Oscar I even understand it, because it is an older award. But until then it is better than here. The space given to comedy at the Grand Prix of Cinema (granted by the Brazilian Academy of Cinema) is small. Brazil is a barn of comedians and the awards ignore us. I already agreed to the Brazilian Cinema Grand Prix (granted by the Brazilian Academy of Cinema) as an actress, with other drama actresses, and was treated as coffee with milk from the moment I entered. Paulo Gustavo had this hurt, so much so that he did not even go to the award. I’m hurt, I said. I won’t go anymore (awards) until there is something that values us. If people knew the fight that is to arrive at the end of the year and fight (in the program) with Avatarwith a man who flies, with the 3D, with the billions. We are resistance.
