‘It will leave you jaw dropped’, says Jesse Eisenberg about the twist of ‘The Master’s Trick 3’

This Thursday (13), Brazilian cinemas receive the long-awaited premiere of “Trick of the Master – The 3rd Act”, the next chapter of the acclaimed franchise. Started in 2010, the saga won over the public by combining illusionism and unexpected setups, totaling more than US$687 million at the global box office.

In addition to expanding the franchise’s universe with even more ingenious antics, the new film, surrounded by great expectations, promises to deliver a truly great moment for fans: a breathtaking twist.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly magazine, actor Jesse Eisenberg stated that viewers will be impacted by the complexity of the narrative, which challenges even those who believe they have already solved its main enigma:

“There’s a genuinely brilliant and incredibly effective twist in the film. I don’t want to give anything away, but it comes thanks to some really great performances. It’ll knock your socks off. Apparently people went crazy after the test screenings.”

In a good-humored tone, the star also reinforced how treacherous and full of traps the plot can be, revealing that, even after reading the film’s script three times, he had difficulty understanding everything:

“The audience has to be very perceptive… or I’m an idiot. I read the script three times and was completely wrong. People not only understand it, they love it,” Eisenberg added.

In “Trick Master 3”, the Four Horsemen return with a new generation of illusionists to try to find the most valuable diamond in the world, which is in the possession of a criminal family.

The film is a Lionsgate production, produced through a partnership with Epic Films, Reese Wernick Productions, Summit Entertainment and The Fusion Media.

Alongside Eisenberg, other members of the original cast, such as Woody Harrelson (Merrit McKinney), Dave Franco (Jack Wilder), Isla Fisher (Henley Reeves), Mark Ruffalo (Dylan Rhodes) and Morgan Freeman (Thaddeus Bradley), return to their respective roles in the cast of the new film, which also features Rosamund Pike (‘Gone Girl’), Ariana Greenblatt (‘Barbie’), Dominic Sessa (‘The Rejected’) and Justice Smith (‘Incredible Places’) – new faces in the saga.
