Ryan Reynolds will produce and star in the remake of Michael Cimino’s The Last Blow, which features Clint Eastwood and Jeff Bridges in the lead roles.
More than 50 years after the release of The Last Blow, which was Michael Cimino’s first feature film, Ryan Reynolds is preparing a remake of the work, which will feature Shane Reid in the direction. Reid served as editor on Deadpool & Wolverine and, with the project, will make his directorial debut.
Ryan Reynolds is expected to star in and produce the new version of this dark comedy that, in 1974, brought together Clint Eastwood and Jeff Bridges – who was nominated for an Oscar the following year for his performance.
