Keanu Reeves and Tim Miller join forces in a film that will merge Edge of Tomorrow with Blue Inferno

Warner Bros. wants Keanu Reeves to star in Tim Miller’s next film, a sci-fi thriller that will have sharks and time loops.

Keanu Reeves embarks on a new sci-fi project after Matrix Resurrections (2021) along with filmmaker Tim Miller, known for being the director of the first installment of Deadpool (2016), for being at the forefront of Terminator: Dark Fate (2019) and for creating the series Love, Death + Robots the Netflix.

The film in which these two talents will come together will be Shiverwhich has been written by Ian Shorr. This production will be a science fiction thriller which has been described as a mix between the films On the edge of tomorrow (2014) e blue hell (2016).

The first is a time loop feature film directed by Doug Liman and starring Tom Cruiseand the second is a horror and shark film Jaume Collet-Serra con Blake Lively at the head of the cast.

Although the details shared about al argument of Shiver remain scarce, according to The Hollywood reporterwill tell us the story of an unscrupulous smuggler, played by Keanu Reeves, who will carry out a job in the Caribbean.

While playing it, he will find himself involved “in a deadly betrayal, surrounded by corpses, hostile mercenaries and bloodthirsty sharks.” To all this we must add that he will find himself trapped in a time loop that he will have to try to break.

For now, Warner Bros. is in negotiations to acquire this science fiction thriller, in which Matthew Vaughn -the director of the films Kingsman– will serve as executive producer through his label Marv Films. And it will do so in collaboration with the producer Aaron Ryder.

Meanwhile, Keanu Reeves has his series pending release BRZRKRas well as the tapes Outcome y The Entertainment System Is Down. For its part, Tim Miller will return as producer for the fourth feature film of Sonic.
