Kino King Knut Elstermann – “Zirkuskind”, “The Mastermind” & “After The Hunt”

A new week with new films hitting theaters. Our cinema King Knut Elstermann will introduce you to three of them.

“After The Hunt”: With “After The Hunt” master director Luca Guadagnino (“Call Me By Your Name”) delivers a psychological thriller that, in the best Hitchcock tradition, is subtly staged and incredibly exciting, but at the same time hits exactly the nerve of our charged times.

“The Mastermind”:
In her new film, Kelly Reichardt also plays with a familiar genre, something she has done successfully over the course of her career (like with the western in “First Cow”). “The Mastermind”, the closing film at Cannes this year, is an ironic heist movie about a well-planned robbery in the 1970s.

“Circus Child”: This film is a small sensation: an enchanting, loving documentary for children and of course for the whole family. The directors Anna Koch and Julia Lemke accompany eleven-year-old Santino for a whole year. His home is the traditional circus “Arena”, his world is his relatives, the artists, the animals and, above all, his beloved great-grandfather “Ehe”.
