‘Kiss of the Spider Woman’, with Jennifer Lopez, gets trailer and release date; watch
The remake of Kiss of the Spider Woman com Jennifer Lopez got a trailer and release date in Brazilian cinemas. The musical fantasy officially premieres on the national circuit on January 15, 2026.
With direction from Bill Condom (Dreamgirls: Pursuing a Dream), the film is a new version of the novel of the same name by the Argentine writer Manuel Puigadapted for cinema for the first time in 1985, in the film directed by Hector Babenco and starring William Hurt, Raul Julia e Sonia Braga.
The light, Molina (Tonatiuh), a gay window decorator arrested for indecent exposure, shares a cell with revolutionary activist Valentín (Diego Luna), and tells him the story of a Hollywood musical starring his favorite diva, Ingrid Luna (Jennifer Lopez).

The film was shown to the public for the first time in January this year, at the Sundance Film Festival, and was also in the selection at the Locarno International Film Festival. Despite only arriving on the circuit in January of next year, the film is in the selection of the 49th São Paulo International Film Festivalwhich happens to October 16th to 30th.
