Kara Zor-El’s first adventure will arrive in cinemas from June 25th and interesting previews are given in the video shared by DC.
We will have to wait until the summer to see it in action Milly Alcock in superhero version on the big screen and, in the meantime, Warner Bros Italia has shared the first teaser trailer of the film Supergirl.
Craig Gillespie is directing the project and the scenes included in the video released online give a taste of the atmosphere that distinguishes the adventure based on DC comics.
What the Supergirl trailer shows
The video recalls the link with Superman, the film directed by James Gunn with star David Corenswet (of which you can read our review), thanks to a newspaper reporting news linked to the hero’s exploits. However, the dog Krypto does not hesitate to pee on the front page of the newspaper in an irreverent way.
The protagonist played by Milly Alcock is then portrayed struggling with a hangover and is shown celebrating her birthday alone.
The young woman then meets Ruthye (Eve Ridley), with whom she finds herself facing unexpected dangers. Krem (Matthias Schoenaerts) is also present in the video, appearing briefly in one shot, while Lobo is shown walking down a hallway.
The trailer ends with Kara in costume Supergirlwho fights enemies aboard a massive space warship.
The details of the film
The second project from DC Studios under the leadership of James Gunn and Peter Safran, will be released in cinemas around the world in the summer of 2026 distributed by Warner Bros.
The official synopsis teases: “When an unexpected and ruthless adversary hits too close to home, Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, is forced to forge an unlikely alliance as she embarks on an epic interstellar adventure of revenge and justice“.

The cast also includes Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham and Jason Momoa.
The film is produced by DC Studios heads Peter Safran and James Gunn, based on DC characters, with Supergirl inspired by the characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. Nigel Gostelow, Chantal Nong Vo and Lars P. Winther serve as executive producers. Behind the camera, Gillespie is joined by director of photography Rob Hardy, production designer Neil Lamont, editor Tatiana S. Riegel, costume designer Anna B. Sheppard, visual effects supervisor Geoffrey Baumann and composer Ramin Djawadi.
