Marvel’s RETURN in theaters gets a release date on Disney+

The film that marked Marvel’s return to theaters received a release date on Disney+.

With an 87% approval rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, ‘Fantastic Four: Getting Started‘ managed to surpass the mark of US$500 million at the global box office.

Currently, this is the second biggest superhero film of the year, behind only ‘Superman’ ($611.7M).

In the USA, the film grossed US$265.8 million. In the international market, they were US$240.5 million – totaling a global collection of US$506.3 million.

The TOP 5 of the largest international markets includes the United Kingdom (US$29.4M), Mexico (US$27.4M), France (US$15.3M), Brazil (US$13.5M) and Australia (US$11M).

It is worth remembering that the film opened with US$118 million in the North American territory – which represents the fourth biggest domestic opening of the year, behind only ‘A Minecraft Movie‘ (US$162M), ‘Lilo & Stitch‘ (US$146M) e ‘Superman‘ (US$125M).

The production also received a grade A- from the audience on CinemaScore. Despite having maintained the same average of ‘Superman‘ e ‘Thunderbolts*‘, the film’s approval was above ‘Captain America: Brave New World‘ (B-).

Set in a vibrant retrofuturistic world inspired by the 1960s, ‘The Fantastic Four: Getting Started‘ features Marvel’s First Family—Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm/Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby), Johnny Storm/Human Torch (Joseph Quinn) and Ben Grimm/Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach)—as they face their biggest challenge yet. Forced to balance their roles as heroes and the strength of their family bonds, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god named Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and its enigmatic herald, the Silver Surfer (Julia Garner). And as if Galactus’ plan to devour the entire planet and everyone on it wasn’t bad enough, the threat becomes even more personal.
