McKInry incorporates Chevrolet EV number 100 to its fleet
Ultimately, the company aspires to completely electrify its fleet. In addition to the Silverado models, McKinstry also has Chevrolet Blazer, Equinox, Brightdrop 400 and 600 EV, which he uses in his work of “design, construction, exploitation and maintenance of high -performance buildings”. In practice, three quarters of its fleet are used by operators on the ground, including plumbers, electricians and sheet metal technicians. All vehicles have been customized to adapt to the demands of specific trades: this includes the installation of high -resistance toolbox, bed guides and power systems on board to operate the tools.
Currently, McKInry is using them in its operations in US states such as Washington, Oregon, Colorado and Texas, and is also installing recharge facilities in many of its centers. The company affirms that its objective is to increase its trace of VE “throughout the country.”
Joseph Hagar, president and financial director of McKInry, declared: “McKIngy is putting them in action. Every VE advances innovation in our workplaces. They are more than trucks, SUVs and vans: they are mobile jobs that drive a real impact.”
The vehicles have been introduced into the McKInstry fleet in collaboration with GM Envelope; This is the General Motors commercial fleet service that helps companies integrate GM brand vehicles into their operations, in addition to providing software, logistics and consulting support.
Ian Hucker, vice president of GM Envelop, commented: “The Chevrolet Silverado EV offers the benefits and advanced technology demanded by our clients, while contributing to improving the efficiency of fleets. The delivery of its Silverado EV number 100 to McKIstry represents not only a milestone for your organization, but also a step forward for the entire industry as we work collectively towards a future of zero emissions.”
