Nephew of Michael Jackson, protagonist of the new film of the ‘King of Pop’, has Colombian roots

Expectation is growing after the release of the first trailer for the film “Michael,” which traces the life of Michael Jackson, from his beginnings with The Jackson 5 to his global consecration.

The production, which shows the artist’s most iconic moments, features the performance of Jaafar Jackson, nephew of the ‘King of Pop’ and whose physical resemblance and mastery of dance have caused a sensation among the artist’s fans.

Jaafar, 29, is the son of Jermaine Jackson and Alejandra Genevieve Oaziaza, a Colombian who lived for 22 years in the Jackson family mansion in Los Angeles.

Alejandra came to the United States when she was little and, by chance, ended up linked to the most famous family in world pop.

According to the woman, in the middle of an interview with a Colombian media, a manager contacted her in Beverly Hills and in this way she managed to meet the Jacksons.

First she was a partner of Randy, with whom she had two children, and then of Jermaine, with whom she had three more: Jaafar, Jermajesty and Dante. They all grew up in the mansion of Katherine Jackson, the artist’s mother.

After 16 years of the death of the ‘King of Pop’, his nephew Jaafar will honor his uncle’s musical career with ‘Michael’, the biopic based on the career of the American artist.

The film, directed by American film director Antoine Fuqua (‘Training Day,’ ‘The Vigilante’), focuses on the artistic journey of the young man who was born in Gary, Indiana.

The plot focuses on the creative process that Michael used to create musical masterpieces such as ‘Thriller’, ‘Billie Jean’ and other songs by the artist, who went down in history with his iconic dance step known as ‘moonwalk’.

One of the aspects that has drawn attention in the publication of the trailer is the choice of the actor, who is the nephew of the famous singer and, curiously, is an expert dancer.

In fact, the physical resemblance is undeniable, as Jaafar looks very similar to Michael when he began his solo career after the success of the band ‘The Jackson 5’.

The trailer opens with Michel Jackson in the music studio of famous producer Quincy Jones, played by Kendrick Sampson, who tells him: “I know you’ve been waiting for this for a long time. The tracks are recorded, the songs are ready. Let’s start from the beginning.”

It is worth mentioning that this film has been in production for several years and it has been speculated that it would be divided into two parts, but everything seems to indicate that the creatives decided to focus on a single installment after several re-recordings that they had to face due to legal issues.
