Netflix releases first trailer for the novel adaptation; Check it out! – CinePOP

‘People We Meet on Vacation’adaptation of the novel by Emily Henryrecently released its first trailer. The film stars Tom Blyth, Emily Bader e Lukas Gage.

The global premiere is scheduled for January 9, 2026, exclusively on the platform.

The feature film is directed by Brett Haley (‘I’ll See You in My Dreams’), Tom Blyth (‘The Hunger Games – A Song of Birds and Snakes’)
e Emily Bader (‘My Lady Jane’) will lead the film.

“The romantic comedy follows the story of Poppy, a spontaneous and adventurous young woman, and Alex, a methodical man who sticks to routine. Despite their contrasting personalities, they have been best friends for a decade, maintaining the tradition of spending summer holidays together every year, even though they live in different cities. However, the delicate dynamics of this friendship are put to the test when they both begin to question what everyone around them has already realized: are they, in fact, the ideal romantic partner?”says the synopsis.

The script was signed by Yulin Kuangin collaboration with Amos Vernon and Nunzio Randazzo. This production is part of an agreement in which Sony Pictures gives Netflix priority to develop films aimed at streaming.

The film’s cast also includes names like Sarah Catherine Hook, Lucien Laviscount, Miles Heizer, Jameela Jamil, Tommy Do, Lukas Gage, Alice Lee, Molly Shannon e Alan Ruck.
