Why see it: for its enchanting scenes, the whirlwind direction of Robert Zemeckis (Forrest Gump), and the many roles of Tom Hanks.

Merry Christmas

In December 1914, during the First World War, an unofficial Christmas truce on the Western Front gave soldiers from opposing camps the opportunity to discover each other’s way of life.

Why see it: because it is based on real events, and this fine international production highlights the memory of the soldiers who fraternized on Christmas Eve. Signed Christian Carion (A swallow made spring), Merry Christmas is thus both brutal and moving to the point of tears, and its prestigious casting (Guillaume Canet, Daniel Brühl, Diane Kruger…) gives the necessary echo to its poignant story.

But how can Santa deliver gifts all over the world in just one night? Quite simply thanks to a center installed at the North Pole which has the latest technology, which houses a million little elves, a gigantic supersonic sled and a huge control base. But even the most advanced center has its weaknesses…

Why see it: because this film produced by Sony Pictures Animation studios (Kpop Demon Hunters, Spider-Man : New Generation) et Aaardman (Wallace et Gromit) is a crazy and rhythmic adventure, with a pleasant little “British” side. If it doesn’t necessarily revolutionize the genre, it remains honest entertainment that will delight the whole family.

The Holiday

An American woman and an Englishwoman, both disappointed in men, decide to exchange apartments. The two women plan to spend a peaceful vacation far from the male gender, but it will not go as planned…
