Increasingly strengthening its campaign in the awards season, The Secret Agent appeared on yet another highly prestigious list, this time made by the New York Times. The North American outlet chose the feature film from Pernambuco, directed by Kleber Mendonça Filho and starring Wagner Moura, as one of the 25 best feature films of 2025.
Shot in Recife and set in 1977, the film is increasingly gaining momentum in several Oscar categories, appearing on the Academy shortlist in two important categories: Best International Film and Best Casting Production.
