Part 2 this Tuesday; session is designed for families and babies
CineMaterna, designed especially for mothers, fathers and babies up to 18 months old, holds its last session of 2025 with a film from this year that pleased the public and critics: “Wicked: Part 2” takes the stage in a special session this Tuesday (2), at 2:10 pm at Cinemark in Shopping São José.
The initiative adapts the cinema room to please and welcome families, promoting safety and tranquility. The environment has changing tables, diapers, wet wipes, parking for strollers, air conditioning at a mild temperature, softer sound, reduced lighting and an EVA mat in the first row for babies who are already crawling or walking. In addition to the adaptations, a specialized team will be present during the session.
The choice of Wicked: Part 2 comes in the wake of strong public engagement with the musical, which became a global phenomenon by bringing the story of Elphaba and Glinda back to the screen. For many families, it will be the opportunity to experience this long-awaited debut without giving up the necessary comfort for those with a small baby.
“We know how much Wicked has been arousing enthusiasm among the public, and we are very happy to provide this experience to the families who participate in CineMaterna. It is an opportunity to experience a special moment with one of the most anticipated films of the year, in an environment designed to welcome mothers, fathers and babies with complete comfort”, highlights Vinício Garcia, marketing manager at Shopping São José.
As an incentive, the first 10 families with babies up to 18 months old will receive complimentary tickets. After this limit, other tickets can be purchased at the box office or at the cinema totems. Another special benefit is free parking for CineMaterna participants, upon redemption of the coupon through the Shopping São José app.
