second part (part 1)”, a quest for the Grail adventure film version with a dose of fantasy

THE OPINION OF THE “WORLD” – WHY NOT

The exercise is thankless. Here we are judging a film of which we have only seen half the story, this first part of the second part of the cinematographic adventures of Kaamelott stopping right in the middle cliffhanger. All the more ungrateful that after a first feature film with a plot roughly grouped around a strong issue – the return from exile of the former sovereign Arthur (Alexandre Astier) -, this sequel unfolds by alternating several scattered narrative lines of which it is difficult to see for the moment where they will lead and how the story will get back on its feet or not.

Alexandre Astier announced at the end of the broadcast of the series Kaamelott in 2009 that he would conclude his story with a trilogy of films. The first part, released in July 2021, brought together more than 2.6 million spectators. Astier then filmed this second part, divided into two parts, for eight months – the second is already scheduled for November 11, 2026.
