Spider-Man 4 | Jon Bernthal is happy to work with Tom Holland

In a participation in Tokyo Comic-Con 2025the actor Jon Bernthal commented about working with Tom Holland em Spider-Man: A New Day, and how they have known each other for 12 years.

First the actor was asked about the film, and said he couldn’t talk about it. Disregarding the situation, he commented on when he met Sebastian Stanwho was on the panel with you, and how they met on the first film Stan worked on, in 2004.

He compared the situation to Holland, as he met them both at a very early age and was able to see both actors develop artistically. “The only thing I can say is that, like Sebastian, who I love and admire so much, he’s an incredible talent. It’s been a joy for me to watch everything he’s done over the years, and he’s one of a kind. I feel the same way about Tom Holland. I’ve known Tom since he was 17.”

The actor also added that they were both together in The Odyssey, and they had to jump straight into the fourth Friendly Neighborhood film. “Yes, I love Tom. It’s great to be back with him. We did the Christopher Nolan movie together and then went straight to Spider-Man. I adore him so much, and it was a joy, as it was for Sebastian, to see these young talents emerge and do incredible work. They impress me. It’s an honor to call them friends.”

In addition to Tom Holland e Jacob Battle, Zendaya returns to the new Spidey film in the role of MJ. There are no further cast or story details at this time, other than the actress. Sadie Sinkwhich has been confirmed, but in an unspecified role. Another confirmed person is Jon Bernthal as Punisher. Besides him, Mark Ruffalo is in the film as the Hulk.

For a while, it was speculated that the focus of the film would be on a more down-to-earth plot, with Spider-Man and Daredevil. Charlie Cox teaming up to face the Kingpin of Crime Vincent D’Onofrio – but, it seems, the idea was discarded. There were also rumors that the villain Knull, played by Andy Serkis em Venom: The Last Round, would be the great enemy.

It was also said that the story would focus on the hero’s iconic black outfit. In other words: nobody knows anything.

Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) will be the project director. Erik Sommers e Chris McKennawho wrote the script for Spider-Man: No Way Home, will also be responsible for the next film.
