‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ will also feature Tony Revolori as Flash Thompson

The final ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ condemned Peter Parker to oblivion. No one in his universe remembers him or his secret identity, a great opportunity to make new friends and include new characters in the saga starring Tom Holland. However, that does not mean that we are going to say goodbye to the entire cast of the original trilogy, in fact both Zendaya and Jacob Batalon have confirmed their returns and another name seems to be added to the list.

‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ preview: Day 1 of filming

According to insider Daniel Richtman, Tony Revolori also returns in ‘Brand New Day’ as Flash ThompsonPeter’s high school classmate.

Although in the comics Thompson is a bully who has it out with Peter and an American football player, in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ we were presented with a very different version: like a rich and spoiled child. It had a brief appearance in ‘No Way Home’ and was generally met with some controversy for the changes.

In the comics, Peter and Flash end up becoming friends in college, after Flash has matured. In ‘Brand New Day’ Peter has left high school behind and will have a new group of friends at the university that Revolori’s character will probably also attend. As a curiosity, Eugene “Flash” Thompson ends up becoming the superhero Agent Venom and in the third host of the Anti-Venom symbiote.

The cast confirmed

For now, the return of Revolori (who will also be familiar to you from ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’ or from being Tobe in ‘Servant’) is just a rumor and the only ones officially confirmed are Holland, Zendaya, Batalon, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/Punisher, Sadie Sink, Liza Colón-Zayas, Marvin Jones III as Tombstone, Michael Mando as Mac Gargan/Scorpion, Tramell Tillman and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk. A cameo from Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova is expected.

Behind the cameras we find Destin Daniel Cretton (‘Shang-Chi and the legend of the ten rings’) with a script by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. The film is being shot in Glasgow and different locations in England, with Holland accident included.

We know little about its plot, but it seems that it will be closely connected to ‘Daredevil: Born Again’. ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ will be released on July 31, 2026 after suffering a one-week delay in the release schedule.
