Streamable on Disney+ from November
Anyone who missed “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” in the cinema will soon be able to stream the Marvel superhero film at any time. The start of this is clear.

On July 24, 2025, the superhero film “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” was released in German cinemas. It took in just over $521 million at the global box office. Unfortunately, this is significantly less than many others Marvel-Films beforehand. Nevertheless, fans of Marvel’s First Family will soon be able to stream to their heart’s content.
Starting November 5th, the superhero flick and the team’s official debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) will be available on Disney+. “WandaVision” director Matt Shakman directed the retro-futuristic film. “The Fantastic Four: First Steps”: MCU film plays with 60s nostalgia and comic book origins
The setting is also exciting: the film takes place in an alternative version of the 1960s, designed in the style of retro-futurism. Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm and Ben Grimm live as isolated heroes in a Marvel parallel universe. There they have to face an overpowering opponent: the planet-devourer Galactus, embodied by Ralph Ineson (“Game of Thrones”). At his side: the Silver Surfer, played by “Ozark” star Julia Garner. It’s not the first time that the Fantastic Four has come to the cinema – but it is the first appearance in the official MCU. There had already been four other film attempts: starting with the never-released Corman project from 1994, through the two films with Jessica Alba and Chris Evans, to the flopped reboot from 2015. This time, however, Marvel Studios opted for a reboot with familiar faces and a high production level.

What is also certain is that the FF will soon be heavily involved in “Avengers: Doomsday” and probably also in “Avengers: Secret Wars”. Then the Fantastic Four should officially meet their arch-villain: Victor von Doom aka Doctor Doom. The villain also appears in the end credits scene, but without showing his face.
